This investigation was conducted at the VAN WICKLE house which was built in 1722 by a Dutch carpenter.  There are many reports out there about this site of rascally as well as helpful spirits that abound at this location.  Reports of water being poured on seats as someone would stand up then sit down to find water on their chair.   Also one of the tenants also reported one of the spirits waking them when they forgot to set the alarm clock.  This location is host to many functions such as weddings and parties.

The house is very beautiful and inviting, it sits on the bank of the D and R canal, where it is said that Hessian solders were killed.  This site has much more history that is very lengthy and can be found at the following web site.  At this site you can also find out about holding a function at the Van Wickle house.   You can find out more by going to www.themeadowsfoundation.org .

The investigation team that was present at the Van Wickle house consisted of Lead investigator Boni B who is also co-founder of GSGHS as well as co-founder and lead investigator Rob R, and interviewer Keri.  The rest of the investigation team was Big John, Erin, Robert, Dave and Nick. Many thanks to the good team work and professional work done by all.   The equipment used is as follows Three wireless night vision cameras with receivers and monitor station that was manned throughout the entire investigation.   We also had one digital video camera, as well as two 35 mm cameras with 800 asa film (faster speed).  We also used many digital cameras, emf detectors, and both digital and tape recorders with external microphones.  We also had one night vision scope and two digital infrared thermometers.   If so requested by email we will give you a more detailed equipment log.  Just contact us if need be.

Upon walking in to the site several of us had the feelings of being watched as well as cold spots.  We proceeded with the preliminary walk around to look for any type of activity or items that may cause a false positive on the meters or tempeture gauges.  Once we covered the entire house we then proceeded to conduct the investigation with teams of two and sometimes three people.  There was noted activity in the main room as well as the attic, with tempeture changes as well as photographic anomalies, which can be viewed below as well as on the GALLERY page.  This house will definitely require a much more in depth investigation, due to certain conditions that we were presented with.  The entire investigative team are all in agreement that we need to go back soon to conduct another investigation both inside and out.  The pictures from this investigation are open to your opinion and we invite all feedback just contact us with any questions or feedback.  We also have two evp's that are soon to be posted on here and the MULTIMEDIA page.  So check back soon.  We will post any new information on this investigation as soon as it is available.
