GSGHS had the rare opportunity
to investigate this iconic building. Phineas Pemberton
built the first part of this dwelling in 1687. There
have been many reports of this location being haunted.
GSGHS tries to keep an open mind when investigating
locations that have a known reputation for having activity.
This should be protocol for all teams, so as the investigators
mind is not tainted with these known reports. Only
the case management team knew of the activity reports
before going into this location.
Locals in the area have long reported strange sounds and shadowy figures
about the mansion and property. Also reports of dogs growling and barking
were reported to emanate from the Mansion. The building it self has seen
it's trials and tribulations over the years. The Mansion was used in
several different manners as the years passed, it once was used as the
local police headquarters. The GREAT icon has also seen tragedy; it has
seen a hanging during the civil war as the reports go. The Mansion has
also seen vandalism as well, fire have torn through this great building
on several occasions. But has stood the test of time.
The Bolton Mansion was brought back to life by a great bunch of folks
known as the " Friends of The Bolton Mansion". They have
done a great job in the renovations that they are working on. You may

The investigation started off normally with Boni Bates and Rob Reid heading
up the teams and the locations to start doing the base readings. All
readings were normal; all electrical hot spots were noted so that there
would be no false positives. The monitor bank was set up and the teams
were dispatched accordingly. At approximately 7:30 PM the door near the
monitor banked slammed hard and fully shut, this was quite strange due
to the fact that there were several cords running through the door way.
There was a slight breeze noted in the mansion but none strong enough
to close the door completely. Tim B., Ron P., Bryan, Rob R., and Tracy
witnessed this. We tried to no avail to debunk it and could not. At approx.
8:30 PM Boni, Rob R., heard distinct footsteps on the third floor and
there was no one on the floor at the time. A short time later Tim B,
and Ron P. observed what seemed to be a flash of light to which an EVP
was captured at the same time. There were several cases of cold spots
experienced by all investigators, as well as personal experiences which
are not of solid scientific evidence but were noted on our groups reports.
The conclusion of this night was a hard one to come to at the time,
after reviewing all material gathered. There were several EVP's that
were captured
by several investigators. The night was exciting but a solid conclusion
of the Mansion being haunted could not be established after just one
investigation. Although there were EVP’s captured and abnormal
conditions were observed by many, Boni and Rob decided that another visit
was in order to see if we could obtain any solid evidence that would
back up these original findings. So at the present GSGHS had to conclude
on this one visit that we were undecided on "Haunted Status".
